For those in the ‘red’, you really want someone to learn the tools and skills to recover from an episode and manage what they’re going through, so they ideally don’t need a therapist long-term. Under the Modern Health model, as they progress out of the ‘red’ and the clinical need is no longer there, they can transition to work with a coach. Behavior change is hard. We need that social support, so the coach can be a really nice accountability partner.
